inp.polri.go.id - The State Civil Apparatus Commission (KASN) reports there are 183 State Civil Apparatus (ASN) or 45.3% of the 403 ASN reported, were proven violating election neutrality.
“According to the report received by KASN, there are 403 ASN reported with the allegations of violating election neutrality. Based on our investigation, 183 ASN or 45.4 percent were proven to violate election neutrality,” says Vice Chief of KASN Tasdik Kinanto on Tuesday (2/6/2024).
Tasdik continues that there are 97 ASN or 53% of the suspected have been sanctioned by the civil service development officer (PPK).
On the other hand, during the 2020 Simultaneous Regional Head Election, there are 2,034 ASN reported of violating election neutrality. A total of 1,597 ASN or 78.5 percent of them have been found violating the election neutrality, and 1,450 of them have been sanctioned by PPK.
According to Tasdik, there are data anomalies from the comparisons, which requires further investigation from the election organizer.
“The violation cases which have been committed with such brazen systematically, massively, and organized nowadays, apparently not directly proportional to the reports of violations that occur," explained Tasdik.
Tasdik continue that the most vile and brazen violation are those that took advantage of bureaucracy resources and facilities, from faking regulation, HR mobilization, allocation of budget support, program assistance, using the governmental facilitation, and other forms of support which leans to one of the presidential candidates.
What happened then is not just bureaucratic politicization, but the drive to push bureaucratic to politic, as the core of the issue is the declining moral of ASN with the current uncertain political situation.
This demonstrates the stark issues faced in 2024 General Election as ASN is faced with huge dilemma from various parties. The issue endangered the election from going fair, honest, and democratic.
From various reports and situation that currently happening, almost all of ASN are potentially violate neutrality, from the highest to the lowest level. Even, there are many state officials who shamelessly joins the volunteer team in supporting one of the presidential candidates.
