inp.polri.go.id - Yogyakarta. The Yogyakarta Regional Police's Narcotics Investigation Directorate, confiscated 1,860 bottles of mixed liquor and dozens of jerry cans of pure alcohol in an investigation into the alleged distribution of mixed liquor at two locations in Bantul Regency.

Bantul Sub-regional Police Public Relations Chief, First Police Inspector Rita Hidayanto, stated in Bantul on Saturday that the first arrest was made at an empty rented house in the Sabdodadi area, Bantul Subdistrict, on Friday (10/30/2026).

At the location, officers confiscated 600 bottles of mixed liquor, 256 plastic bags containing pure alcohol, one 20-liter jerry can containing pure alcohol, 27 gallons of flavored liquor, and two cartons of flavored liquor.

"At the location, officers arrested a man with the initials S (55), a resident of Sabdodadi, Bantul, who is suspected of being the owner of the mixed liquor," she said.

In addition, officers also confiscated 23 packs of empty bottles, each containing 100 bottles, red bottle caps, five gray buckets, five gallons of mineral water for mixing, two scoops, one measuring cup, two funnels, and several large black plastic bags.

"We also confiscated two empty 20-liter jerry cans," he said.

On the same day, police conducted another search in the Klodran area, Palbapang Village, Bantul District. From this second location, officers confiscated 1,260 600-milliliter bottles of mixed liquor and 16 20-liter jerry cans containing pure alcohol.

Officers also confiscated four gallons of mineral water, three cartons of flavored drinks, four large buckets, 480 empty 600-milliliter bottles, 26 empty 20-liter jerry cans, and 18 empty gallons of mineral water.

"At the second location, officers arrested two adult males with the initials QU and DK, suspected of involvement in the distribution of bootleg liquor. QU is suspected of being the launch agent, while DK is suspected of being the owner," he said.

According to Rita, the large amount of evidence recovered indicates the processing and storage of bootleg liquor at both locations.

"The seized evidence included not only bottled bootleg liquor, but also pure alcohol, mixing ingredients, jerry cans, gallon jugs, and equipment suspected of being used in the bootleg liquor manufacturing process," she explained.

She said the arrested men and all the evidence were then handed over to officers for further questioning and investigation.
