Inp.polri.go.id - Semarang. The 2026 Indonesian National Police Academy (Akpol) cadet selection introduced key innovations, including computer competency testing and Olympiad-standard academic exams, to adapt recruitment to modern technological demands.

"Starting from enlisted, NCO, to officers, these Gen Z candidates must understand technology. If they do not understand computers and technology, they will fall behind," said Assistant to the Indonesian National Police Chief for Human Resources, Inspector General Anwar, in Semarang on Friday (24/7/2026).

Led by Deputy Police (INP) Chief Commissioner General Dedi Prasetyo, the final central committee selection involved 404 candidates, consisting of 365 male and 39 female applicants. 

Chief Anwar noted that the academic curriculum shifted away from rote memorization toward critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving. Candidates underwent evaluation by a panel of six senior INP officials.
