Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A total of 57 vehicles were fined in an emission test crackdown at five locations on Wednesday (1/11/2023), the Jakarta administration announced.
Asep Kuswanto, the Head of the Jakarta Environmental Agency, said a total of 257 vehicles were caught during the emissions test. Of these, 57 vehicles failed the emission test, exceeding the emission threshold, and were subsequently fined
"Of the 257 vehicles that were subjected to on-the-spot emissions testing, a total of 57 vehicles were fined for failing the emissions test. This included 20 four-wheeled vehicles and 37 two-wheeled vehicles," he added.
The agency has been conducting public education campaigns on the emissions testing requirement since 2021 in a bid to improve air quality," he said.
