The General Election Commission (KPU) announced 63 institutions have registered as official surveyor, opinion poll and quick-count parties for the 2024 General Election. “According to the KPU Decree Number 1035 of 2023 concerning Technical Guidelines for Registration of Survey Institutions or Opinion Polls and Quick Count of General Election Results in 2024, KPU announced and open the registration at least 30 days before the voting days and will be closed on January 15th, 2024,” quote the press statement on Monday (1/15/2024). On that release, KPU also states the first survey companies registered was on August 21st, 2023, or five days after the KPU Decree was published. Until January 12th, 2024, the number of institutions registered in KPU are 63 institutions, 33 of them are listed as “registered” which means their Registered Certificate has been published. Meanwhile, 26 other institutions are currently still waiting for their certificate to be released, while 4 others are fixing their documents. (ad/ndt/pr/nm)
