inp.polri.go.id – Banjarmasin. A total of 7,000 joint personnel consisting of the Indonesian Army and the Police were deployed to secure the XXIX National Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur'an (MTQ) 2022. Head of Public Relations of the South Kalimantan Police, Commissioner Mochamad Rifa'i said police officers continued to coordinate with the Indonesian Army, including the Military Resort Command 101/Antasari regarding security measures. The thousands of personnel will be divided and deployed in several MTQ venues, which scattered in Banjar Regency, Banjarbaru City, and Banjarmasin City on October 12. "We divided our security personnel because there are 12 MTQ venues from opening to closing," explained the Head of Public Relations of the South Kalimantan Police, Sunday (9/10). He explained that the number of security personnel would also be increased, especially at the opening and closing of the event. In addition, patrol vehicles were also deployed throughout the event. "Those vehicles will later be tasked with overseeing the mobility of each group of guests and MTQ participants, especially when traveling from one venue to another in different regions," concluded the Head of Public Relations.
