The Indonesian National Police (INP) Criminal Investigation Unit has uncovered the suspected distribution of etomidate packaged in vape cartridges in the Tanah Abang area of ​​Central Jakarta. As a result of the operation, police confiscated 735 cartridges suspected of containing etomidate and arrested two men.

The two men arrested were Angger Anjar Asmoro (35) and Nur Akbar Yudhistira (36). The two men were arrested while riding a red Honda PCX motorcycle in front of the entrance to Tanah Abang Station on Tenaga Listrik Road, Cideng, Gambir, on Saturday (9/26/2026) at around 9:20 PM.

The Director of Narcotics Crimes of INP, Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, stated that officers found a yellow cardboard box carried by Angger. Upon inspection, the box was found to contain 493 cartridges suspected of containing etomidate.

Investigators then expanded their investigation to Angger's boarding house, Room 20, 3rd floor, Sakura Boarding House, on D1 Road No. 4, Kebon Baru, Tebet, South Jakarta.

At the location, police found another 237 cartridges suspected of containing etomidate. Hundreds of the cartridges were stored in red cloth bags. Police also confiscated a digital scale.

"The total amount of evidence is 735 cartridges," said Eko, Sunday (9/27/2026).

In addition to the hundreds of cartridges, police confiscated two cell phones, a Honda PCX motorcycle with license plate number B 5134 FXE, and a wallet.

The two men, along with all the evidence, were then taken to Sub-Directorate I of the Narcotics Directorate of INP for further questioning.

The discovery in Tanah Abang adds to the list of cases of suspected etomidate distribution in the form of vape cartridges uncovered by the police in recent weeks.
