inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education inaugurated 76 schools under the educational revitalization program, bringing new hope to the people of North Aceh, Central Aceh, and Bener Meriah after the disaster.
Minister Abdul Mu'ti stated that the inauguration demonstrates the government's commitment to restoring post-disaster education services and ensuring schools remain safe and suitable learning spaces.
He continued, stating that this step is also part of the national effort to accelerate the rehabilitation and reconstruction of disaster-affected educational institutions, which is targeted for gradual completion by 2026.
"Schools must return to being safe and comfortable places to learn. Therefore, revitalization not only targets physical buildings but also ensures the continuity of educational services," said Abdul on Friday (1/30/2026).
The impact of the revitalization was felt to be very significant for the educational unit, as expressed by Takengon Yusbida, Principal of Silih Nara Angkup Special Needs School, and Marhamah, Principal of SMAN 1 Timang Gajah, Bener Meriah.
According to both, before the revitalization program, their schools faced limited and damaged infrastructure, which directly impacted the learning process.
Through the revitalization program, both schools now have more suitable, safe, and functional classrooms and supporting facilities. Both said the results of the school revitalization have optimized the learning process and made students more comfortable.
