Inp.polri.go.id - Pidie. The Aceh Regional Police launched a corn farming program with young farmers in Blang Lueun Village, Simpang Tiga District, Pidie Regency on Sunday (14/6/2026). 

The initiative, led by Aceh Police Deputy Chief Brigadier General Ari Wahyu Widodo on behalf of Aceh Police Chief Aceh Inspector General Marzuki Ali Basyah, supports national food security and community welfare.

“In today’s global challenges, a nation’s ability to meet its food needs independently is a key indicator of resilience. Strengthening food security is a national priority,” said Chief Ari, delivering Chief Marzuki’s remarks.

The program covers 40 hectares of farmland, expected to become a corn production hub. Police praised the involvement of young farmers as agents of agricultural modernization.

As part of the launch, the Aceh Police and Bhayangkari provided corn seeds, fertilizer, and ecoenzyme to farmer groups. The initiative aims to boost productivity and encourage sustainable farming practices in Aceh.
