The Tangerang City Sub-regional Metro Police reminds Community Organizations to not extort others with the alibi of Eid Allowance. “I implore and remind you that we will act firmly against the community organizations who force for Eid Allowance,” said Head of Tangerang City Sub-regional Metro Police Chief, Senior Superintendent Zain Dwi Nugroho on Monday (4/1/2024). Zain noted that ahead of Eid Al-Fitr, there would be many community organizations or other certain groups who would come and ask for their unrightful allowance to various companies. In response to this kind of extortion, police implore the public to not hesitate to report the case to the security officials if they experienced extortion and intimidation from those community organizations. Furthermore, he assured that his party will continue to protect, serve, and guide the community as he prays the moment of Eid Al-Fitr to be a joyous moment for all. Previously, the Head of Metro Jaya Regional Police Public Relation Ade Ary Syam Indradi had also implored the public to report the extortion case to the police. “Immediately report the case to the nearest police stations or through 110 call centers if there are any community organizations forcing you to pay for an allowance,” said Ade.
