inp.polri.go.id - Sangatta. The East Kutai Sub-regional Police have boosted security preparedness at several crowded areas to ensure public order and safety remain secure and conducive ahead of Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijri.

East Kutai Sub-regional Police Chief, Superintendent Fauzan Arianto, stated that he has instructed all ranks to increase preparedness and security at various strategic locations.

He assured that security will be guaranteed at all locations, from Eid al-Adha prayer locations, crowded areas, traffic routes, to the sacrificial animal slaughtering area.

"We are ensuring that all security measures for Eid al-Adha run optimally so that the public can perform their worship and celebrate the holiday safely, comfortably, and devoutly," said Fauzan Arianto, Monday (5/25/2026).

In addition to securing places of worship, he said, the police are also increasing routine patrols and surveillance in areas prone to public order disturbances to anticipate potential crime during the Eid al-Adha holiday. He added that the police  has been deployed to regulate traffic flow and monitor public transportation and the increased public activity leading up to the holiday.

"We are also conducting patrols and monitoring main routes to ensure smooth traffic flow and prevent accidents and congestion," he explained.

The police, along with relevant agencies, are also monitoring the availability of basic necessities, the distribution of subsidized LPG and fuel, and the health of sacrificial animals to ensure the safety and well-being of the community ahead of Eid al-Adha.

Fauzan also urged the public to work together to maintain public order and security by increasing awareness of their surroundings and maintaining tolerance and order during the holiday.

"We hope the community can work together to maintain security and order so that the Eid al-Adha atmosphere in East Kutai remains safe, peaceful, and filled with togetherness," he said.
