inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Head of Operations for the Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps, Senior Superintendent Aries Syahbudin, conveyed the readiness for Operation Patuh 2026, which will run from June 8 to 21, 2026. This was conveyed by Syahbudin while giving direction to the ranks of INP Traffic Corps during a morning assembly on Monday (5/25/2026).

In his direction, Syahbudin explained that Operation Patuh 2026 carries the concept of independent regional operations, adapting to the characteristics of each region. This year's operation also emphasizes digital transformation in traffic law enforcement.

The theme of Operation Patuh 2026 is "Digital Transformation of Law Enforcement to Create a Law-Compliant and Orderly Society in Traffic."

"This year's Operation Patuh prioritizes digital-based law enforcement through Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE), so all ranks are asked to prepare to provide maximum support for its implementation," said Syahbudin.

He explained that enforcement actions under Operation Patuh 2026 will focus on violations that hinder the effectiveness of ETLE. These include vehicle license plates that are removed, not installed, partially covered, or modified or obscured with stickers or paint.

He stated that these violations are of concern because they can hinder the ETLE camera reading system in the electronic law enforcement process. Furthermore, violations such as driving against traffic will still be enforced using conventional tickets by officers in the field.

In its implementation, the composition of Operation Patuh 2026 enforcement actions will consist of 60 percent using ETLE or electronic law enforcement, 30 percent using conventional tickets, and 10 percent using sympathetic warnings.

"Sympathetic warnings will still be given in certain situations where a more humane approach is deemed more effective, but their share remains limited to 10 percent," he said.
