Aids Continue to Pour on Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki Eruption Refugees

inp.polri.go.id - East Flores. The Indonesian National Police (INP) and ranks in East Nusa Tenggara continue their support in helping the refugees of Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki eruption in East Flores Regency. 

In their humanitarian activities, the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police personnel carried out activities to distribute food and clean water to affected communities, as well as conducting health checks and patrols to disaster-prone areas in the region. 

The Head of East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Public Relations, Senior Superintendent Ariasandy says that this activity is part of the Police's efforts to ease the burden of people affected by the disaster. He explained that in addition to providing logistical assistance in the form of food and clean water, his party also ensures that health and security services are maintained in the affected areas.

“We have provided aid of food and clean waters to the people taking refuge in the evacuation posts. Moreover, our team also provided health checks and patrols around prone areas to guarantee the safety of the people,” says Ariasandy.

Ariasandy added that the police also continue to coordinate with various related agencies, such as the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), the Health Service, and the military, to ensure that aid distribution can run smoothly. His party also continues to monitor developments in the field and will continue to provide assistance according to the needs of the community.

"The safety and security of residents remains our priority. In addition to providing logistical assistance and health services, we also continue to patrol to anticipate the possibility of security problems in evacuation sites and disaster-prone areas," explained Ariasandy.
