Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The formation of the Corruption Crime Eradication Corps within the Indonesian National Police (INP), an expansion of the Criminal Investigation Agency's Anti-Corruption Division, awaits the issuance of a presidential regulation, INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said on Thursday (29/2/2024). He said that they have already submitted the documents for the development of the Anti-corruption Corps to the President, antaranews.com reported. Chief Sigit said that the development of the Anti-Corruption Corps is currently undergoing internal harmonization within Polri. "Regarding the challenges of the current situation, we need to conduct evaluations," he added. The development of INP's organizational structure aims to provide the best possible service to the community. In addition to the Anti-corruption Corps, INP is developing the Directorate for Women and Children Protection (PPA) and the Directorate for Combating Human Trafficking (PPO), which were regulated by a presidential decree in early February. INP is also expanding the cyber directorate in eight regional police offices (Polda) to strengthen the handling of cybercrime cases. The idea of establishing the INP Anti-Corruption Corps was first revealed by Chief Sigit in December 2021 when he inaugurated 44 former Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) employees as INP civil servants.
