Inp.polri.go.id - Semarang. The Directorate of Traffic of the Central Java Regional Police has prepared a scenario in anticipating traffic congestion during the Christmas and New Year 2022 (Nataru) holidays.

The Director of Traffic of the Central Java Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Agus Suryo Nugroho, said he would block several roads during the Nataru holiday.

In the activities that will be carried out, it is planned that a travel document inspection will also be held as in the previous year.

The Directorate of Traffic of the Central Java Regional Police ranks is still waiting for instructions from the central government regarding policies for dealing with the Christmas and New Year holiday period.

"The Central Java Regional Police and the toll road manager have prepared a scenario. For example, when there is a restriction, we have such a scenario. When all lanes are released, we will prepare counterflow, blocking and so on," explained the Director of Traffic of the Central Java Regional Police, Friday (12/11/21).

Police Grand Commissioner. Agus Suryo Nugroho mapped the blackspot area to anticipate accidents. As a result, there are several precautions taken to prevent accidents in specific locations.

"We have also surveyed the locations of black spots where accidents often occur. (There) we are trying to prepare cranes, ambulances, tow trucks, including routine patrols. This is an effort to prevent traffic accidents," said the Central Java Regional Police Intermediate Officer.

The Director of Traffic of the Central Java Regional Police also ensured that the existing toll roads in Central Java are also safe to use during the Christmas and New Year holidays.

"We make sure that the toll roads are safe, orderly and smooth. We have synergized how we take action when the operation is faced," concluded Police Grand Commissioner Agus Suryo Nugroho.
