inp.polri.go.id - Puncak. The Armed Criminal Group led by Kalenak Murib attacked civilians in Lambera Village, Yugumoak District, Puncak Regency. Three residents were pronounced dead, four others were injured, and at least 11 honai were burned.

Head of Damai Cartenz Operations, Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani, said that the act was a crime against humanity and could not be tolerated. He ensured that the pursuit of the perpetrators was still being carried out to this day.

"This is a barbaric act targeting innocent civilians. We will not remain silent. We will continue to pursue and take firm action against the perpetrators according to applicable law," he said in his statement on Friday (6/20/2025).

Based on witness statements, he said, the brutal act was triggered by personal motives, where Kalenak Murib was furious because he found his third wife having an affair with one of his subordinates named Minanggen Wijangge. This made Kalenak Murib enraged and came to Lambera Village on Tuesday (6/17/2025) at 16.00 pm carrying four long-barreled firearms.

"Currently, most of the residents of Lambera Village have moved to safer places in Megeabume District and Sinak District to save themselves," he said.
