Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian Army Chief of Staff General Maruli Simanjuntak has issued a directive instructing military commands to assist in securing prosecutor offices across the country.

The order, issued on 6 May 2025, tasks army regional commands with deploying personnel to support the security of prosecutor offices across the country.

“This is about institutional cooperation in line with the structure of the Junior Attorney General for Military Crimes ,” said Chief of The Army’s Information Center Brigadier General Wahyu Yudhayana on Sunday (11/5/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

Each prosecutor's office in provincial level will be supported by one platoon (30 personnel) and each prosecutor’s office in the regencies by one squad (10 personnel).

“In practice, two to three personnel per post will be assigned depending on the situation and needs,” Chief Wahy explained.

The assignment, which builds on previous inter-agency cooperation, will begin in May 2025 and continue as required. Chief Wahyu emphasized that the Army would operate within legal frameworks, maintaining professionalism and proportionality in all actions.
