inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Narcotics Criminal Investigation Directorate has uncovered a narcotics trafficking case in West Jakarta.
This investigation resulted in the arrest of a suspected perpetrator identified as MY (36) on Tuesday (4/21/2026) at approximately 6:02 PM.
First Police Inspector Akhmad Huda, Head of Unit 1, Sub-Directorate 1 of the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Narcotics Criminal Investigation Directorate, stated that the arrest was made at a rented house in the Kebon Jeruk area after police received information from the public regarding suspicious activity suspected to be related to narcotics abuse.
During a search of the location, officers found evidence in the form of a package of methamphetamine weighing 102.22 grams hidden in a closet among a pile of clothes, and a package of marijuana weighing 7.72 grams found at the back of the house.
"We have arrested a suspect with the initials MY in Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, with evidence of 102.22 grams of methamphetamine and 7.72 grams of marijuana," he said on Thursday (4/23/2026).
According to him, investigators are currently investigating the involvement of other parties in the illicit trafficking of these illicit drugs.
"Furthermore, the suspect and the evidence have been taken to the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Narcotics Criminal Investigation Directorate office for further questioning," he said.
