The Director of the PPA and PPO Investigation Unit of the South Sulawesi Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Osva, stated that the three suspects are currently being held in the cell for legal proceedings. The victim, S, is currently being assisted by the Makassar City Government's Women and Children Protection Unit (UPTD PPA).
The incident began when the victim met FA on Instagram and then met on January 4, 2026. Shortly after, the perpetrator met with victim S on January 14, 2026. He persuaded her to come to his house, and the victim went along, trusting the suspect.
"We are currently referring the victim to the Makassar City Government's UPTD PPA to assess her condition" he said, on Thursday (4/23/2026).
He urged the public, especially parents, to monitor their children's social media activities, teach them digital ethics, and protect them from negative content and hoaxes.
"Children should not be easily trusting of people they have just met, especially those they have met through social media," he concluded.
