Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Government Communication Agency (Bakom) issued a formal appreciation on Wednesday (18/3/2026) to the Indonesian National Police (INP) and the IndonesianMilitary Police for their swift identification and detention of suspects in the acid attack on KontraS activist Andrie Yunus.
"We praise the rapid and professional response of both the Indonesian National Police and the Indonesian Military Police as part of an evidence-based and transparent legal process," said Angga Raka Prabowo, the Head of the Government Communication Agency (Bakom), as cited by antaranews.com.
He said that violence against any citizen, especially those within the democratic space, is strictly intolerable. While the detention of four personnel from the Strategic Intelligence Agency (BAIS) by the Military Police and the identification of two civilian suspects, BHC and MAK, by the Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police mared significant progress, Bakom clarified that these individual actions do not reflect the integrity of the institutions as a whole.
Officials are now focused on ensuring the legal process remains accountable to maintain public trust while urging the community to refrain from spreading unverified information as the investigation reaches its final stages.
