Bali Immigration Investigates South Korean Artists for Permit Violations

Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Bali Immigration Office recently investigated 31 South Korean artists and crew, along with one Indonesian artist, for suspected permit violations during the filming of the reality show "Pick Me Trip in Bali." 

Head of Ngurah Rai Immigration Office Suhendra disclosed on Friday (26/4/2024) the ongoing interrogation of the involved South Korean nationals, focusing on two producers, according to antaranews.com.

If found guilty of immigration regulation breaches, appropriate measures will be taken, he said. The Intelligence and Immigration Enforcement Team (Inteldakim) of Ngurah Rai Immigration Office acted upon information received on Thursday regarding the television program's shooting activities. 

Following an investigation, they discovered 31 South Korean nationals, including producers, crew, and artists, shooting in the Uluwatu area. 

The Korean nationals, along with one Indonesian, entered Indonesia via I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport on 21 April 2024, using visas on arrival or electronic visas. 

While the artists' names were not disclosed, "Korea Package Season 2: Pick Me Trip in Bali" featured prominent South Korean entertainment and music figures, including Hyoyeon from Girls' Generation, Bomi from Apink and a member of Secret Number who is an Indonesian citizen from Bali, Anak Agung Ayu Puspa Aditya Karang, also known by her stage name, Dita Karang.
