Inp.polri.go.id - Denpasar. The Bali Regional Police have confirmed that bloodstains discovered at a villa and inside a getaway vehicle in Tabanan are a perfect DNA match to the mother of abducted Ukrainian man Ihor Komarav.
Forensic laboratory results released Wednesday (4/3/2026) solidified the link between the physical evidence and the 28-year-old victim, who has been missing since mid-February.
"The blood splatters found at the villa and inside the Avanza used by the perpetrators are identical to the victim's maternal DNA," said Bali Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Ariasandy, as cited by antaranews.com
Investigators believe six suspects used a rented Toyota Avanza car to transport and detain Komarav at the Tabanan property.
Authorities have officially named six foreigners as suspects and issued Interpol Red Notices to track them across international borders. While four suspects are believed to have fled the island, two remain detected within Indonesian territory.
