Bali  Police Tightened Security for World Water Forum 2024

Inp.polri.go.id - Denpasar. Bali Regional Police has installed 1,214 CCTV surveillance cameras across key locations to ensure security during the 10th World Water Forum in Bali from 18-25  May 2024.

According to Senior Superintendent Jansen Avitus Panjaitan, the Bali Police Head of Public Relations, these cameras were linked to both the ITDC Nusa Dua, the event venue, and Bali Police Command Centers.

He detailed the distribution of these cameras, mentioning their placement at various points including Polres/ta (103), existing points within Bali  Police(123), BNDCC (28), Benoa Port (16), VIP guest routes (53), Bali entry points (96), Badung regency (586), ITDC Nusa Dua (142), Bali Mandara Toll Road (59), and the Westin Hotel (8).

The security measures for the event were outlined in a Police Operation dubbed Tribrata Agung 2024 Operation, running from 17 - 27 May, 2024.

Bali Police is set to deploy approximately 5,791 personnel, including from the Indonesian National Police (INP) Headquarters and neighboring regional police forces like East Java and West Nusa Tenggara, to ensure comprehensive security.

In preparation for the forum, Bali Police has been conducting public outreach campaigns to garner support and promote safety awareness.

The 2024 World Water Forum in Bali is scheduled to feature 290 sessions discussing critical water-related topics, with an estimated 30,000 participants from 172 countries, including several heads of state.
