inp.polri.go.id - Denpasar. The Bali Regional Police's General Criminal Investigation Directorate uncovered 56 cases of thuggery within eight days during the Pekat Agung 2025 operation.

Head of Public Relations of the Bali Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Police Ariasandy said that dozens of perpetrators committed thuggery in the form of extortion, mugging and illegal parking.

The number of suspects in the case is 56 people.

The suspects have been detained at the Bali Regional Police detention center while waiting for the case files to be declared complete to be transferred to the Prosecutor's Office.

He said the number was relatively small so that the Bali region is still relatively small when compared to other Regional Police in Indonesia.

"The results of the Bali Regional Police's disclosure of thuggery are few, this proves that the jurisdiction of Bali is still very safe, especially from thuggery and the general security and public order situation in Bali is still very safe and conducive," he said on Friday (5/16/2025).

According to him, Bali's security cannot be separated from the support of its people who care and are aware of the importance of maintaining security and harmony, including the role of the Balinese Pecalang Adat who are very active in guarding their respective customary areas, plus the most important synergy between the TNI-Polri, and other related stakeholders in maintaining the Kamtibmas situation in Bali so that it remains safe.

Eradication of thuggery in Bali as a form of maintaining the investment climate.
