Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) has officially ended on Saturday night (30/11/2024) its search operation for landslide victims in Sembahe, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, after all 33 victims were located.
Mustari, the Head of the Medan Search and Rescue Office, confirmed that 10 victims were found dead, including the final victim, 31-year-old Tengku Riski, a minibus driver from Medan.
Tengku's body was recovered 15 kilometers from the disaster site, near a palm oil plantation in Namorambe, on Saturday afternoon.His remains were promptly transferred to Adam Malik Hospital in Medan and handed over to his family, according to antaranews.com.
Meanwhile, 23 injured individuals were also evacuated and treated at local hospitals.
With all victims found and medical care provided, Basarnas declared the search operation officially concluded.
