Inp.polri.go.id - Kuala Lumpur. Batik Air has decided to suspend its flights to Istanbul, Turkey, starting 1 May 2024, in response to the ongoing developments in the Middle East.

In an official statement received in Kuala Lumpur on Friday (19/4/2024), the airline explained that this decision was prompted by the current situation in the Middle East, which has severely impacted their flight routes. 

These operational challenges have made it difficult for Batik Air to maintain services to the region, it said. The statement highlighted that while this step was a tough one, it's deemed necessary to ensure passenger and crew safety. 

The airline emphasized that this decision was taken after thorough consideration of the circumstances, as reported by antaranews.com.

Passengers affected by the route suspension will receive notifications via email and text messages, and they are advised to visit www.malindoair.com/Refund-Request for refund inquiries.
