INP Urges Public Compliances During Protests

Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, the Head of Public Information at the Indonesian National Police (INP)’s Public Relations Division, stressed on Friday (19/4/2024) the importance of adhering to regulations for peaceful protests. 

He called on protesters to consider others' rights. 

The INP has deployed 2,713 personnel from various agencies to secure protests near the Constitutional Court, as reported by antaranews.com. 

Traffic adjustments included closing Jalan Harmoni and redirecting traffic to Jalan Kesehatan. Jalan Perwira routes were redirected to Istiqlal Mosque and Lapangan Banteng, while Jalan Thamrin was rerouted to Kebon Sirih, Senen, and Abdul Muis.

The operation was part of Operation Matap Brata 2023-2024. 

Chief Trunoyudo emphasized unity amid differing opinions, especially post-Eid al-Fitr period. 

The Constitutional Court has announced that it will issue its decision on the 2024 presidential election dispute during an open session on Monday (22/4/2024).
