Indonesian Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) reminds its ranks to improve their mitigation on 2024 General Election to suppress and prevent any violations during elections. “We have to be diligent in mitigating vulnerabilities to identify vulnerabilities continuously,” says Bawaslu Commissioner Lollly Suhenty in her press statement on Monday (10/16/2023). She revealed that East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province score based on Elections Vulnerability Index (IKP) is on average level. However, looking from contestation dimension, East Nusa Tenggara is considered highly vulnerable. “In East Nusa Tenggara, there are two regencies/cities that has the score of high vulnerability on the politicization of race and religions during elections,” says the Commissioner. Based on that, she said that Bawaslu will held National Working Meeting in East Nusa Tenggara. This measure was taken to acquire solution in mitigating NTT elections vulnerabilities. (ad/ndt/pr/nm)
