Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Indonesian President Joko Widodo will visit China and Saudi Arabia in effort to deepen relationship, both in investment sector and supply sustainability.
“I and my delegates will visit Beijing, People’s Republic of China (PRC), and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Kingdom. We will visit Beijing on October 17th-18th for bilateral meeting with President Xi Jinping,” says President Joko Widodo quoted from Presidential Secretary YouTube account on Monday (10/16/2023).
President Joko Widodo, or famously called Jokowi, is scheduled to attend the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing. Other than meeting President Xi, he will also meet with Chinese Prime Minister and Speaker of Parliament.
“Several priority issues that we will discuss with PRC include Indonesia export improvement, investment improvement, and the establishment of food sustainability,” reveals Jokowi.
Then, in October 18th, President Jokowi will immediately depart PRC to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where he will meet with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia and led the first ASEAN – Gulf Cooperation Organization Summit.
“Several cooperation with Saudi Arabia Kingdom will be discuss, including economic and investment cooperation improvement. There are also pledges for halal products, energy, and the formation of Supreme Coordinating Council,” conclude President Jokowi.
His entourage will end their tour in Riyadh on October 20th where they would be scheduled arrived home on October 21st.
