inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) still found many violations in the 2024 Regional Head Election in several regions, particularly relating to State Civil Apparatus (ASN) and village head bias towards one of the election candidates.

“Most violations are those mentioned in Article 71 paragraph (1) of the Regional Election Law," said Bawaslu RI member Puadi on Tuesday (10/8/2024).

According to him, Article 71 paragraph (1) of the Regional Election Law concerns several points of violation, especially related to the neutrality of ASN and village heads.

In addition, Puadi said that the regulation also prohibits incumbents who rerun for election from personally replacing officials in the local government.

Until now, election violations in the 2024 Regional Election are mostly related to those two  violations. "Both are alleged election crimes which are currently still being handled," said Bawaslu Member Puadi.

He added that his party is currently handling the violations, even in some areas the case is in the middle of the investigation process.

"Some areas are already at the investigation stage such as in Malaka Regency in East Nusa Tenggara, also Pinrang and Enrekang Regencies in South Sulawesi," concludes Bawaslu RI Member Puadi.
