Inp.polri.go.id - Batam. Head of National Zakat Amil Agency (Baznas) Noor Achmad reminds zakat recipients to not misuse the aid for online gambling.

"This is important because now there are many temptations to get swayed from Islamic law," said Noor Achmad on Monday (7/29/2024).

After attending the provision of Batam Makmur MSMEs aid, Noor hopes that the aid from Baznas to Zakat recipients could help them to prosper.

"And I am sure that Batm would be free from gambling, that is what I hoped. We pray that people would not expect profit from gambling," says Noor.

Noor noted that Batam City has become one of Baznas focus to aid as the city has the potential for zakat realization, while also achieving good achievements every year.

"Last year, national ZIS collection was set at IDR 31 trillion, and the good news is we reached IDR 33 trillion," he said.

At the end of his statement, he noted that those are commendable achievements as the ZIS fund realization are increased 30% every year.
