Inp.polri.go.id - Bekasi. The Bekasi Metropolitan Sub-regional Police partnered with local community elements to preserve public order in Bekasi Regency ahead of demonstrations in front of the House of Representatives Building in Central Jakarta on Thursday (27/8/2026).
"We are engaging all elements of society, including community leaders, Forkopimda, mass organizations, Karang Taruna, and online taxi drivers," said Bekasi Police Chief Senior Superintendent Ikhlas Putro Wasono on Wednesday (26/8/2026).
He urged residents to protect their local neighborhoods and remain vigilant against online provocation or calls for violence. Chief Ikhlas noted that officers are actively tracking individuals spreading inflammatory social media content aimed at inciting riots.
Authorities encouraged the public to report suspicious activities to the nearest police station or via the 110 hotline to ensure daily activities across Bekasi Regency remain uninterrupted.
