inp.polri.go.id - The Bengkulu Police Criminal Investigation Unit of Team Operational Macan Gading have arrested six men and one woman who allegedly as the dealers and the players of online gambling. The arrest begun in a coffe shop at KZ Abidin Pasar Minggu Street at Saturday (8/20) night. The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Bengkulu Police, AKP Welliwanto Malau stated that the arrest begun when the community reported that there was a gambling activity in the location. Then, the personnel immediately came to the location. At 10:30 pm, the personnel had successfully wrrested the perpetrators in a coffee shop, they are PE (60), YA (53), SU (47), MI (52), and a dealer MA (52). From interrogatinf MA, the personnel was able to develop the case and arrest a man with the initials of RC (28) from Bangka Street, Bengkulu. RC allegedly is the dealer. The investigation then continued and managed to arrest IM (43) from Bentiring. He was one of the online gambling players. "In total, we have arrested seven people, six of them are men and one woman. We also confiscated an evidence of a cash, several units of phone, and several units of motorcycles, several sheets of Togel recap paper, online gambling accounts, ATMs, and other evidence," explained the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit.
