inp.polri.go.id - Mataram. The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining the integrity of the Free Nutritional Meal Program (MBG). This commitment was also reaffirmed by fully supporting law enforcement efforts against alleged fraud and embezzlement in the name of establishing a Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) in East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara.

The Vice Head of BGN, Sony Sonjaya, stated that this case stemmed from a public report regarding an alleged fraud involving promises of construction and operation of an SPPG kitchen. 

In practice, the perpetrators allegedly offered SPPG locations, kitchen facilities, and promised operational readiness, demanding money from the victims.

"The modus operandi was to promise location locations, construction of the SPPG building, and operational readiness. However, BGN has never charged a fee for the entire application and verification process for a legitimate SPPG," explained Sonny on Friday (5/29/2026).

BGN emphasized that since the beginning of the MBG Program, the public has been repeatedly advised not to trust parties claiming to expedite the approval process or guarantee the operation of SPPGs in exchange for money.

"BGN has never appointed intermediaries, brokers, or any other party who can guarantee someone will obtain an SPPG location by paying a fee. The entire process is carried out transparently and in accordance with applicable regulations," he said.

According to him, a number of victims began approaching BGN after the promised projects failed to materialize and the funds disbursed were not returned. BGN advised the victims to pursue legal action through law enforcement.

He also reminded the public that all official information regarding SPPG construction, including technical requirements, building standards, kitchen capacity, and facility layout, is openly accessible through official government channels.
