Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has called on its Nutrition Service Units (SPPG) kitchens to step up communication efforts in addressing public concerns over food safety in the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG).
“As public attention on food and nutrition grows, SPPG kitchens are no longer just a technical service. It is the face of BGN and the frontline of MBG in the eyes of society,” said Khairul Hidayati, the Head of BGN’s Legal and Public Relations Bureau, in an official statement on Sunday (21/9/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.
She stressed that every incident related to food safety can quickly spread and influence public trust.
Hidayati added that President Prabowo Subianto has entrusted BGN with implementing the national priority program, making SPPG crucial in ensuring MBG succeeds in improving nutrition quality.
She underlined the need for clear, accurate, and reassuring public communication, alongside stronger digital capacity and community engagement, to safeguard MBG’s credibility.
