The home fixture is seen as a key momentum-builder at the start of the new year.

“We have prepared seriously and are fully focused on this important match,” head coach Paul Munster said on Sunday (4/1/2026), as quoted by antaranews.com.

He stressed the importance of showing renewed character, discipline, and confidence in front of home supporters. He described the match as a fresh start for the team to demonstrate progress and tactical maturity.

Midfielder Wahyu Subo Seto echoed the optimism, saying players are ready to work hard and execute the coach’s instructions. 

Bhayangkara FC currently sits 10th in the standings with 19 points from 15 matches, while Dewa United is 14th with 17 points. The encounter is expected to be closely contested as both teams seek vital points.
