Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP)’s Bhayangkara Hospital in Kramat Jati, East Jakarta is conducting detailed identification of victims from the recent fatal Glodok Plaza fire through muscle tissue and hair analysis due to the unrecognizable state of the remains.

"The postmortem process is more challenging because most bones have degraded, requiring deeper examination of tissue, such as muscle, skin, or hair," explained Brigadier General Sumy Hastry Purwanti, the Head of the INP’s Laboratory and Health Division on Friday (24/1/2025).

Bhayangkara Hospitali has collected 32 DNA samples from 11 body bags of fire victims, including a new arrival on Thursday, which is currently under analysis. These samples will be matched with 14 sets of antemortem data submitted by the victims' families.

So far, three victims have been identified using DNA and medical examinations: Zukhi Fitria Rahdja, Aulia Belinda Kurapak, and Osima Yukari. The remaining nine body bags, containing unidentifiable body parts, are under meticulous investigation.
