Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) is collaborating with Singaporean authorities for the extradition of Paulus Tannos, a fugitive who is wanted by the Corruption Eradication Commission for his alleged roles in the corruption case involving the electronic ID card project.

Inspector General Krishna Murti, the Head of INP’s  International Relations Division, said on Friday (24/1/2025)  that the effort began with direct engagement with Singaporean officials.

“This process started through our communication and cooperation with Singapore authorities,” he explained as quoted by antaranews.com.

The INP has been assisting KPK throughout the case, particularly in the arrest of Tannos.

“We have fully supported the KPK from the start,” Chief Krishna said, while refraining from disclosing specific details about the extradition process.

Tannos was detained in Singapore, and the KPK is now liaising with the INP, the Attorney General’s Office, and the Ministry of Law and Human Rights to expedite his return to Indonesia.

The KPK had previously named Tannos and three others as suspects in August 2019 for their involvement in the KTP-el corruption case, which caused an estimated state loss of Rp 2.3 trillion.

Tannos fled the country, reportedly using a new name and passport, and has been on the KPK's wanted list since October 2021.
