Inp.polri.go.id - Denpasar. The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has issued an early warning for extreme drought in Tejakula District, Buleleng Regency, after the area recorded no rainfall for over 60 days, officials said Saturday (11/10/2025).
Head of BMKG Bali Climatology Station Aminudin Ar Roniri explained that while Tejakula is now classified under “extreme drought” status, the dry condition is not expected to expand as the rainy season is forecast to begin by December 2025.
The classification is based on rainfall probability below 20 millimeters per ten days with a 70% chance, and a rainfall index value below minus 2, as reported by antaranews.com
Meanwhile, Kubu District in Karangasem is under drought alert, with similar rainfall projections but milder intensity.
BMKG anticipates that most regions in Bali, including Buleleng and Karangasem, will experience light to moderate rains before entering the wet season, with the peak of rainfall between January and February 2026.
