Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) Chief Commissioner General Suyudi Ario Seto warned that drug distribution in the country is becoming increasingly diverse and now targets school students, with substances appearing in the form of candies, drinks, and e-cigarettes.
“Once you try drugs, you can get addicted. Over time, addiction destroys the brain, physical and mental health, and can even lead to death,” he said in a statement on Monday (27/10/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
Chief Suyudi emphasized the critical role of youth in protecting the nation from narcotics threats and praised the participants’ commitment to staying drug-free. The three-day camp, attended by 1,200 students from 50 schools in Greater Jakarta, aimed to build national character and awareness of drug dangers.
Also attending was Presidential Envoy for Youth Affairs and Creative Workers Raffi Ahmad, who urged students to avoid drugs and pursue achievements instead.
