Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Commissioner General Mohammed Rycko Amelza Dahniel, the head of the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT), instructed his team on Wednesday (24/4/2024) to intensify security assessments for the 10th World Water Forum (WWF) in Bali from 18-25 May 2024.
Stressing the importance of evaluating security systems and vital locations against potential terrorist threats, he emphasized comprehensive assessments.
"These assessments are crucial not only for international events but also for securing vital sites and public areas," he said.
BNPT conducted assessments from 22-26 April 2024, at various WWF venues, including the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center, Apurva Kempinski Hotel, and The Stones Hotel.
Chief Rycko underscored the need for continuous improvement in BNPT's assessments, essential for national security.
BNPT assured security throughout the 10th WWF, conducting assessments, intelligence coordination meetings, and providing training to regional intelligence personnel.
They called on public engagement to support the success of the international event.
