Inp.polri.go.id – West Nusa Tenggara. The Directorate of Marine and Air of West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police arrested nine fishermen carrying fish bombs in Serewe Beach, East Lombok. The nine suspects are AM, ZR, HS, ZN, MH, SL, AS, MH, and GN.

“There are nine fishermen arrested for carrying bombs to catch fish,” said the Director of Marine and Air unit, Senior Superintendent Andre Ghama Putra on Wednesday (4/24/2024).

According to Andre, the nine fishermen used two boats. They were found carrying the bombs, allegedly used to catch fish.

“We confiscated nine bottles containing powder that have been processed and eight detonators from one boat. And other nine bottles containing powder and seven detonators from another boat,” said Andre.

He says that the confiscation is result of long investigation carried out by the police and went to the location as soon they find the concrete evidence,

“They were secured along with the evidence. They were moved to our HQ for further examination,” explain Andre.
