inp.polri.go.id – Mandalika. The head of the National Counter-Terrorism Agency (BNPT), Commissioner Dr. Drs. Boy Rafli Amar, M.H., met the Mandalika MotoGP Field Commander, Marshal TNI (Ret.) Dr. (H.C.) Hadi Tjahjanto, S.I.P., in Mandalika. The meeting is to ensure that the MotoGP is safe from terrorism.
Commissioner General of Police Dr. Drs. Boy Rafli Amar, M.H., said that the 2022 MotoGP at the Mandalika Circuit was safe from the threat of terrorism.
"Therefore, let's safeguard it together and help secure the event," stated General Bintang Tiga, Sunday (20/03/22).
On the same occasion, Marshal TNI (Ret.) Dr. (H.C.) Hadi Tjahjanto, S.I.P. revealed that the safety standards and all preparations during the Mandalika MotoGP are different from the previous World Superbike (WSBK) event. The success of organizing the Mandalika MotoGP has the potential to move the local economy and lift the tourism sector in NTB.
"We have agreed to maintain our coordination, evaluate and finalize every point of the event so that it will run smoothly and safely. The existence of a MotoGP event also has the potential to stimulate tourism in NTB," said the MotoGP Field Commander Mandalika.
The former TNI Commander revealed that collaboration between all parties to secure this international event was very important. Coordination with BNPT as the leading sector for terrorism prevention and countermeasures needs to be carried out. Together, they implore to put aside sectoral egos to maintain security and make this event a success.
