inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH) continues to strengthen the quality of its human resources (HR) through a competency development approach based on organizational needs to improve the effectiveness of its Halal Product Assurance (JPH) services.

BPJPH Head Ahmad Haikal Hasan emphasized that strengthening HR is also a key factor in implementing JPH services, following the mandatory halal certification this year.

"The success of implementing mandatory halal is not only determined by regulations, but also depends heavily on the readiness of the human resources implementing it," said the BPJPH Head on Tuesday (4/14/2026).

As part of this effort, BPJPH has held Competency Development Needs Analysis (AKPK) Training for state civil servants (ASN) within its jurisdiction.

The activity, organized by the BPJPH Human Resources Development Center (PPSDM), was attended by employees appointed as Person in Charge (PIC) in each work unit, both at the central and regional levels, using a hybrid approach earlier this week.

This activity was intended to ensure equitable understanding and strengthen coordination between work units.

"It is important for every civil servant (ASN) to continuously improve their competencies. When you become more competent, it shows that  you value yourselves," said Hasan.

He hopes the APKP can be an effective instrument for identifying employee competency gaps, so that development programs are more targeted and impactful on improving organizational performance.

Furthermore, this effort is expected to improve the quality of public services while ensuring the effective and efficient implementation of JPH services, particularly in anticipation of the implementation of mandatory halal certification in October 2026.
