BPJS Kesehatan Now Mandatory for SKCK in 6 Regions

Beginning 1 March 2024, having Healthcare Social Security Administration Agency (BPJS Kesehatan) coverage is set to be a new requirement for obtaining a Police Record Certificate (SKCK) as it is being piloted in six regional police jurisdiction in the country. The policy is outlined in Regulation No. 6 of 2023 by the Indonesian National Police (INP), which mandates SKCK applicants to provide proof of BPJS Kesehatan membership. This policy will undergo a trial period from 1 March to May 2024, before nationwide implementation. During the trial phase, applicants not yet enrolled in BPJS Kesehatan will still be served, with the option to register or activate their membership. The six regional police selected for the trial phase are:
  1. Riau Islands Regional Police: Barelang City Sub-regional Police, Batu Aji Police  Office
  2. Central Java Regional Police: Semarang Metropolitan Sub-regional Police, Pedurungan Police Office
  3. East Kalimantan Regional Police: Balikpapan Metropolitan Sub-regional Police, South Balikpapan Police Office
  4. South Sulawesi Regional Police : Makassar Metropolitan Sub-regional Police Headquarters, Rappocini Police Office
  5. Bali Regional Police: Denpasar Metropolitan Sub-regional Police, South Denpasar Police Office
  6. West Papua Regional Police: Sorong Sub-regional Police, Aimas Police Office
