inp.polri.go.id - Takengon. Central Aceh Sub-regional Police Chief, Superintendent Muhamad Taufiq, along with personnel from the Central Aceh Sub-regional Police and the Aceh Regional Police Mobile Brigade Corps distributed logistical aid to people affected by the natural disaster in isolated villages in Linge District, Central Aceh Regency, on Sunday (1/4/2026).

The aid was distributed using trail motorcycles due to the difficult terrain caused by flash floods and landslides.

Dozens of basic food packages and stationery were distributed to five affected villages in Kemukiman Jamat, Linge District.

In addition to the basic food aid, Chief Taufiq also oversaw the distribution of 1,000 meters of steel wire slings from the Central Aceh Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD).

The slings were transported using Central Aceh Sub-regional Police trucks and were intended to provide temporary crossing access for the community due to the disruption of roads and bridges connecting the five isolated villages in Kemukiman Jamat.

The aid distribution took place on the banks of the Kali Ili River in Owaq Village, directly adjacent to the Jamat settlement in Linge Village. The aid was handed over directly by Taufiq to Ilyas, the village head of the Jamat settlement.

The logistical aid and steel wire slings will then be transported to isolated villages via the sling crossing access. Linge Police personnel, along with the Mobile Brigade Corps (BKO Brimob), are on standby to assist the community in constructing floating bridges.

Taufiq, stated that the distribution of this aid demonstrates police's commitment to ensuring that the basic needs of communities in isolated areas are met.

"We are striving to reach these logistical aid areas to ensure that the community's basic needs are met. We hope this assistance can ease the burden on our brothers and sisters affected by the disaster," said Chief Taufiq.
