inp.polri.go.id - Bireuen. The Indonesian National Police (INP) continues to work hard to accelerate post-flash flood recovery efforts in various regions of Aceh.

The police also conducted a community service as part of the recovery efforts following the flash floods that struck Jangka District, Bireuen Regency. The activity took place at Islamic Senior High School 7 Bireuen, Bugak Krueng Village, Jangka District, on Monday (1/5/2026).

The community service began in the morning, targeting classrooms, the schoolyard, and other supporting facilities affected by mud and flood debris. 

This activity was led by Police Assistant Superintendent Hartana and involved personnel from the Bireuen Sub-regional Police.

The presence of police officers in educational settings demonstrates the police's commitment to the post-disaster recovery of public facilities.

The Bireuen Sub-regional Police Chief emphasized that the mutual cooperation is part of the police's commitment to always being present to help communities affected by natural disasters.

"We want to ensure that educational facilities affected by the floods can be quickly re-opened. Schools are crucial for the future of the younger generation, so their restoration is our priority," said the Bireuen Sub-regional Police Chief.

He added that police's presence is not limited to security aspects, but also encompasses humanitarian and social roles in helping communities recover from disasters.

"Through this mutual cooperation activity, we hope to ease the burden on the community, accelerate the recovery process, and lift the spirits of people, especially in Jangka District, which was severely impacted by the flash floods," he concluded.
