Inp.polri.go.id – East Java. Good news came from East Java as Bromo Savana Field gradually has returned to its former green after the 500 hectares wild fire burns the whole field due to human error.
This was news came from a video that circulated in social media, showing the current condition of the field.
The video was uploaded by TikTok account of @moment.story7 on Tuesday. The video now has been watched by more than 2.6 million viewers.
However, there are still many plants that has not regrow as it requires more time to recover.
Reported by cnnindonesia who quoted Antara news office, Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (TNBTS) chief, Hendro Widjanarko says that Bromo requires more time for its special or native trees to grow again.
"For native trees in TNBTS such as mountain pine, kesek, cap, tide, which were affected by fire, is estimated to take three to five years to regrow," said Hendro.
Prior, he also stated that there are three mechanism to restore TNBTS that was burned by the wild fire, which through nature, rehabilitation or reforestation, and restoration.
As previously reported, Bromo was decimated by wild fire on last September due to human error who lights a flare. Only dust was left after the fire was completely extinguished. TNBTS noted the wild fire burns home to various types of flora such as grass, shrubs and bushes. Apart from that, there are also eternal Edelweiss flowers which turn gray.
