Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) launched digital forensics as anticipatory measures following General Election Commission (KPU) data leak.
The initiative was taken to seek the cause of the leak. There are at least 250 million KPU data were leaked and sold by hackers.
“In overcoming the cyber incident in KPU, BSSN will carry out an analysis and digital forensic from the application and server to find the root cause of the cyber incident,” says BSSN spoke person Ariandi Putra during press conference on Friday (12/1/2023).
Later on, BSSN will report the findings of the data leak directly to KPU.
Recently, an account with the username of Jimbo posted in BreachForums showing that Jimbo has hacked KPU cyber security system and leak millions of data on Monday (11/27/2023). The post shows a screenshot of Voter List (DPT).
The hacked data leaked the info of name, ID Number, date and place of birth, and address.
