Inp.polri.go.id - Surakarta. The Central Java Regional Police have confirmed their preparedness to secure the U-17 World Cup tournament in Surakarta, running from 10 November to 2 December 2023.

Senior Superintendent Basya Radyananda, Chief of Operations at the Central Java Regional Police Office, affirmed the police's role in maintaining security outside the Manahan Stadium, the tournament's venue.
"Security within the stadium is handled by FIFA, while our focus remains outside the stadium," he explained as quoted by antaranews.com.
Emphasizing adherence to established protocols, Chief Basya highlighted the extended duration of the Solo tournament compared to the other three stadiums. Matches at the Manahan Stadium will kick off with the group stage on November 10 and conclude with the final on December 2.
"Our security operations will span 25 days, covering the tournament from start to finish," added Chief Basya.
The U-17 World Cup will be simultaneously hosted in four stadiums across Indonesia: Manahan Stadium in Surakarta, Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium in Surabaya, and Si Jalak Harupat Stadium in Bandung.
